Personal Statement
A confident and well rounded RMN who is currently managing a 12 bedded unit for adults with Autism
and a co-morbidity of mental health as well as duty management, of the entire 70 bedded hospital. A
good team player with a balanced and thorough approach to problem solving. Currently managing a
team of thirty registered nurses and unqualified staff with an eclectic skill mix. Both people
management and the ability to recognise team needs and strengths has been a vital skill in the
management toolbox. I posses a thorough insight into required and desirable standards of care
delivery, and what is nesaccary to deliver these, along with a desire to ensure that the patient
recieves a truly holistic treatment package. This underpins the manner in which work is approached
by myself, ensuring that the best possible care is provided. Major achievements in the past year
include consistently exceeding company set management and unit key performance indicators that
have dramatically improved standards, successfully care taker managing two units for three months,
restructuring the staff team to improve care delivery and improve team morale, and spearheading
several hospital initiatives (including improvement of medication systems and agency staff training).
