Responsible for accompanying State and Federal Mine and OSHA inspectors on compliance visits and initiate any corrective action necessary to maintain compliance with state and federal laws to include Freeport company policy .Conduct Hazard assessments on critical tasks and ensure that through job safety analysis are adequate to include conducting root cause analysis post incident investigation findings to senior corporate staff

Regulatory and Security- Emergency Response Specialist: In addition to the above mentioned duties Job duties: Educate all levels from Employees to Managers on achieving Regulatory compliance thru injury reduction. Educate Supervisors of their roles and Responsibilities under the Mine Act and the OSH Act of 1970. Educate employees and Supervisors on workplace examinations and hazard assessment procedures to include specialized training in fall protection, Rigging, Confined Space Procedures and Crane Safety .Accompany State and Federal Inspectors and all Inspections and Provide appropriate feedback and remedial action.

Conduct Compliance audits in all areas of the property and ensure corrective action recommendations are completed to Maintain Regulatory Compliance to include Compliance with Freeport McMoran Company Policies and Guidelines. Supervise The Site Emergency Response and Security Team consisting of 36 individuals, 3 paramedics, 8 emergency medical technicians, and the Senior Emergency response coordinator. Educate junior health and safety professionals in all aspects of safety and health. Oversee annual shutdown and maintenance of the copper smelter to include over 1400 contract personnel ensure maintenance and new construction projects are conducted in accordance with CFR 1910 .and CFR 1926. OSHA standards and project health and safety aspects to include completion of the project in a safe timely manner and control contractor site safety and entry requirements. In the course of my work, one of our business units set a safety record for zero injuries in 2011 that has continued in 2012 in the copper smelting and rod-refining group.

Additionally as required to travel to other company locations as a subject matter expert in projects such as plant start up, shut down projects, risk assessment and control measures, regulatory compliance liaison to include supervise each sites safety personnel in such situations and regulatory inspections. Conduct Regular compliance audits in all areas of the property to include the copper smelting process and copper rod refining facility.

I was responsible for all areas of Safety, Health and Environmental control at a diversified manufacturing facility employing 650 people on 3 shifts, including but not limited to the following: All employee safety related issues to include training, program development and implementation in a Team Environment, Handling all workers compensation claims and litigation, Hazardous waste reduction and shipments, Industrial Hygiene, storm water testing and compliance, NPDES testing and reporting, Spill Prevention and countermeasure controls, overall site evaluation and security, management of the waste water treatment plant, HAZWOPER accident/incident investigation as well as conducting regular safety inspections .Developing and Training A first Responder team within the facility
