Duties and Responsibilities
• To ensure effective compliances of safe working practice and relevant safe operating procedures pertaining to HES.
• Carrying out daily safety inspection to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe practices, unsafe equipments and tools.
• Organizing, coordinating and conducting safety orientation for the new employees and refreshment training for the existing employees.
• Providing safety advice and guidance to site supervisor in carrying out job execution safely
• To ensure the proper PPE are being issued and by employees.
• Conducting tool box meeting, weekly safety walk, preparation of daily safety report, site safety audit and follow up.
• Monitor the work permit system and its execution, safety performance, emergency procedure.
• Providing and conducting basic fire fighting and fire Extinguishers familiarization training, confined space entry, basic rigging signaling, use of full body harness and its inspection.
• Conduct and ensure monthly fire extinguishers inspection has been carried out the report submitted.
• Ensure inspection of all electrical hand-held power tools and appliances being done every month and that include daily visual inspection.
• Ensue all loose lifting tools and tackles are inspected daily and monthly inspection register submitted.
• Perform and ensure gas testing has been done prior to work inside the confined space. Ensure that pre-Entry meeting had carried out by entry supervisor and entrant.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly safety statistics and accident/incident report.
• Conduct the implementation of JSA (Job Safety Analysis) of critical jobs.
• Conduct work related incident personal injuries, property damage or equipment damage and inspection.
• Assist in giving implements safety policies, rules and regulations.

• Installation of safety signs, traffic control signs and other safety promotion posters to remind workers to work safely and enhance safety awareness among them.

• Creation of safe working condition through installation of sufficient lighting, railing of stairs, barricading of open pits, safe mean access, adequate scaffolding and elimination of tripping hazards and protruding such as gas cylinders, paints, and thinner and other such materials that requires safe storage and handling.

• Supervising and following up of work permit system during shutdown especially confined space entry permit and hot work.
