PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

February 2011 to Current Tecnova, Waukegan, Illinois

Electronic/Software Innovation and Automated Test Solutions

Quality Assurance Lead Test Engineer

Developed a set of comprehensive Regression Test Protocols designed to fully test the various functional properties of the NXC Boiler Controller. Functional areas include: FW and Configuration Upgrades, Boot Process, Data Handling, Alarms, Communications, Control Systems, and Logs; twenty-one functional properties in total.

Created a System Level Test Plan designed to provide a standard of validation the customer could look to as assurance that the released FW has met our rigorous testing standards.

Dry ran the protocols as I was developing them and identified numerous issues, many of which had been in the system since their original development but were never identified because no one had attempted to test the system in the manner in which I was testing it.

Improved Quality Processes by updating the ECO SOP and HW/FW Process Development Checklist, and developed a Risk Management SOP.

ECO Administrator responsible for implementing the ECO SOP and ensuring the timely completion of ECOs in the system. ECO process had been neglected. Issues over a year old were still active in the system. I brought it under control and ensured the orderly processing of HW and SW changes needed by Manufacturing.
