Roles and Responsibilities

• Redesign the existing planet gear box, motor shafts, etc .along with geometric tolerance standard.

• Solicited feedback from machine operator, vendors, of the highest quality and cost effectiveness.

• Creating drawings using Pro-e 3.0.

• To prepare operation sequence/process sheet for new product & development of the prototype batch for successful completion.

• Work closely with doctors to ensure specific product meets theirs specifications.

• Getting First part approval from the customer and implementing new changes if demanded by customer in existing design.

• Preparing assembly procedure for various assembly & subassemblies.

• Preparing documentation for ISO 13485.

• Develop test procedure & validate product quality.

• Vendor Development and negotiation.

Project Handled in MDE

1. Project Title : Two Stage Planet Gear Box.

Tool Used : Pro-E 3.0 & Auto Cad 2008

Description : Preparation of Drawings and developments for two stage planet gear box. In this 0.7 module gear has been manufactured by gear grinding process instead of gear hobbing. Assembly drawing using Pro-e Wildfire and AutoCAD.

2. Project Title : Ramer Attachment

Tool Used : Pro-E 3.0 & Auto Cad 2008

Description : Preparation of drawing and assembly drawing. This is attachment used in battery operated drill for reaming the bones. It is third stage of reduction using 0.5 module single stage gear box. This is washable and sterile attachment.

3. Project Title : Cast Cutter

Tool Used : Pro-E 3.0 & Auto Cad 2008

Description : Preparation of drawing and assembly for cast cutter. This plaster saw is driven by a quiet brushless motor. Hear rotary motion converted in to oscillations. It portable and non-sterile instrument, Ergonomic, modern shape.

4. Project Title :Wire Driver

Tool Used : Pro-E 3.0 & Auto Cad 2008

Description : Design and assembly drawing has been prepared. This attachment used for passing wire from bones. The driver is essentially a small chuck with a clutch mechanism. A wire is fed into the jaws and pulling the guard engages the wire and pressing the trigger at the same time allows the wire to be driven into bone. When the wire driver tip is close to bone, stop driving and release the guard which allows more wire to be drawn through the driver. Driving wires with longer than around 40mm exposed is difficult as the wire wobbles too much. The pin driver drives pins from 1.6mm to 4.0mm

5. Project Title : Battery Operated Power Drill

Tool Used : Pro-E 3.0 & Auto Cad 2008

Description : It is a complex product prepared drawings and assembly drawing as layout. The system is a heavy duty orthopaedic system suitable for large bone elective surgery, trauma and procedures. It is available with a choice of three power source options – aseptic battery, sterilisable battery and corded supply. Hand piece reliability assured with high performance brushless motor technology combined with hybrid motor controller .This product has manufactured as well as using various doctors in India.

6. Project Title : Power Shaver System

Tool Used : Pro-E 3.0 & Auto Cad 2008

Description : Prepared Design and drawing for shaver system. Ergonomically formed hand piece that can be treated in the autoclave and Micro-processor controlled handle motor with forward, reverse and oscillations up to 3500-15000 rpm. User-friendly three-pedal footswitch with anti-clockwise, clockwise rotation, oscillation mode.
