Duties & Responsibility of the Project

Preparation of Civil,Architectural,Mechanical and Piping drawings (Oil tanks, Structural and Elevated foundations (embedded plate installation), Piping, Equipment Erection plan.

Monitor the lifting operations to ensure that they are being carried out effectively in accordance with the established Work Method Statement, Risk and Job Safety Analysis.

Ensure that all lifting and rigging personnel undergo and pass a documented thorough competency assessment before being permitted to operate unsupervised on the project.

Preparation of lifting study and method statement for pre-assembly and erecting of steel structure and heavy piping spool erection.

Preparation of lifting studies for Heavy Equipments Erection, Such as

SRU Regenerator, SRU Regenerator Re boiler, No. 1 & No.2 Sulphur Condenser, Cooling Column, Process Gas Cooler, SRU Incinerator Waste Gas Steam Generator, Steam Drum, Combustion Chamber, Claus Process Gas Steam Generator, No.1 & No.2 Claus Reactor, Process Gas Heater, Reduction Reactor, SRU Incinerator Stack, SRU Activated Carbon Filter, Claus Air Blower and Air Cooled condensers.

Permit Coordination

Ensuring the correct issuance and cancellation of work permits in the area under his control.

Ensuring that the work proceeds safely within the terms of the work permit.

Ensuring that the concerned Performing Authority fully understands the requirements of the work permit.

Informing all relevant personnel that the work permit is to be issued.

Ensuring that all required operational actions and conditions have been carried out, such as drainage, isolation, purging, blinding, etc.

Ensuring that the necessary gas tests (Flammable/toxic gases, and/or oxygen concentration) have been specified and carried out.

Physically follow-up the authorized work at the site frequently.

Confirming when a work permit is not required.

Ensuring that all work that is carried out by personnel under his control is covered by a valid work permit, when required.

Accepting the work permit from the Issuing Authority prior to the commencement of any work and gets the permission of the concerned Field Operator before starting the authorized job.

Understanding the limitations, restrictions, precautions and conditions of the work permit; and have discussed these with personnel under his control to effect full compliance.
