As a previous graduate of the Business Administration and Public

Relations programs at the Nova Scotia Community College, I bring with me

over 12 years' experience in administration and procurement, specifically

in purchasing, accounting, inventory management and vendor and client

relations. My most recent job as the Resource Procurement Coordinator with

the Nova Scotia Government provided me the experience to manage the

development and printing of the Health Education resources for the province

and manage distribution to the various provincial districts. As a

government procurement specialist, I have gained strong knowledge and

skills in public procurement practices, some of which include inventory

management, vendor relations, contract negotiation, Request for Tender,

purchase order creation and job tracking. Some of the abilities enhanced

with my previous employer that may greatly benefit Joy Global are my

abilities to use an inventory management system to order, track and

allocate resources, liaise with vendors and clients to provide the product

required, budget tracking and vendor reconciliation.

While I do have experience with the SAP system, it was more on financials

rather than inventory but I am familiar with the general layout of the

system related to inventory management.
