 Nurse Practitioner Program Responsibilities:

 Supervise secretarial staff

 Assist with hiring staff

 Schedule appointments

 Coordinate meetings

 Prepares and/or drafts correspondence

 Liaison between clinical preceptors, FNP faculty and FNP students

 Assist FNP faculty with student advisement and School of Nursing Open House

 Assists graduate/undergraduate faculty in use of UBLearns (Blackboard – online course management system)

 Prepares program coursework

 Maintains office files, research files and coursework files

 Supervision of one full-time Keyboard Specialist I and II (secretary) and work study students

 Distance Learning Responsibilities:

 Assist faculty with transmission of courses over ISDN lines

 Assist faculty liaison and coordinator to track DL students to facilitate faculty planning for course offerings

 Coordinate and assist with planning and implementation of recruitment

 Prepare evaluation tools and channel data to appropriate faculty for analysis

 Grant Administrative Activities:

 Handling day to day management and annual reports for a Dept. of Health and Human Services, Division of Nursing Training Grant

 Arranges travel including plane reservations, hotel reservations, conference registration and travel reimbursement

 Prepares purchase requisitions and petty cash reimbursement

 Complete necessary personnel appointment and change forms

 Maintains personnel records and communicates with research personnel

 Coordinates the submission of grants to funding agencies, preparation of grant including budgets, CVs, timelines and contact with funding agencies.

 Generates annual/quarterly progress reports required by funding agency for program director’s review.
