Support teams include Technical Service Request and Investigations technology team, Third Party and Stability team, New Products team and Waste management team.
• LC Chemist III (June 2001-March 2006) Craft Technologies INC. Analytical method validation and method transfer for micro nutrients. Analyte isolation from foods, nutracueticals and biological fluids including human and animal urine and plasma, human blood and animal tissues. Proficient in “sandwich” ELISA for clinically relevant proteins in a ninety-six well platform suited for high throughput capabilities. Lab support: Company requisition and inventory of all necessary equipment, solvents, reagents, compounds, standards, glassware etc. for completion of wet chemistry techniques and assays
• Middle Grades Education (August 1999-June 2001) Science Teacher. Developed and provided instruction on curriculum based lesson plans
-Accomplishments
• Conducted comparative analysis of micro nutrients in human urine and plasma after consumption of cruciferous vegetables. This work was presented in 2004 at the experimental Biology Meeting and can be found in FASEB journal vol. 18 p.128 (2004).
• Identified and evaluated factors that contribute to analytical error in a group of compounds that posses antioxidant properties and may decrease the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease. These trials have also been written into abstract. The results were presented in 2003 AOAC
