POSITION: CONCRETE SUPERINTENDENT

QUALIFICATIONS:

Comprehensive knowledge in all phases of Pre Construction, Design Build and General Construction procedures possessing 35+ years of experience successfully working on projects ranging from $1.5 million to $465 million. Projects including but not limited to multiple disciplined CIP Structures, Military, Educational, Public Works, Pre Cast Concrete, Water Tanks, Health Care, Hospitality, High Rise, Casino, Concrete Tilt Up, Warehouse, Big Box, Commercial, Retail, Industrial, Single Family & Multi Family Residential applications.

General Superintendent with 6 years experience successfully scheduling and coordinating all related construction trades on medium size military and public works projects with values from $2 million to $10 million. • Consistency with all Daily Reports, Certified Payroll and Quality Control Reports assuring all information to be accurately documented and compliant with procedures eliminating unforeseen delay’s in progressive payment

• Experience with RFI, RFP, Submittal, Change Order, Inspection, Job Costing, Short Term Scheduling, Labor Projection, Contract Negotiations and Safety Procedures

6 years experience with Land Acquisition, Conceptual Master Planning, Entitlement Process, Pre Construction Management and Design Build interfacing with Planners, Architects, Engineers, Designers and Tenants as the Owner’s Representative for several Mixed Use Residential Master Planned Communities comprised of more than 4,000 total acres. Projects included several 3 star hospitality projects, two 4 star hospitality resort & spa projects, 4,700+ multi and single family residential units, 3+ million sq. ft of commercial, retail, restaurant, office and warehouse projects, elementary and high school properties, fire stations, realignment of collector roads, upgrading of existing infrastructure, new electrical sub stations and water tanks with numerous detention facilities, community parks, recreation centers and more than 15 miles of trails systems.

Performed research and due diligence on a multiple other projects for large development groups throughout Arizona, Nevada, California and Utah consisting of 2,500 to 15,000 acres of land for future development of mixed use master planned communities including golf courses and other major recreational development. Projects would have required the development of new and complete infrastructure systems including water systems, roads, electrical sub stations, gas, fiber optics, waste water treatment plants, educational facilities and much more.

Capable of operating various types of machinery and equipment such as; reach fork lift, fork lift, boom lift, scissor lift, bobcat, skip loader, water truck, ditch witch, air compressors, sand blasting, articulating loader and backhoe.

OFFICE

Computer experience includes Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, Excel, Works, Outlook, Xactimate, Quick Books, Citrix and Pro Log. I am currently learning Microsoft Office Project and researching online and evening schooling requirements to obtain an Associates and/or Bachelors Degree in Construction Management and Project Management.

CERTIFICATIONS

During the last 6 years, my employment has been in the master planning and development field where certification requirements were not necessary and I unfortunately allowed them to expire. I am currently reviewing the most recent issue of the EM385-1-1 manual while researching online requirements to recertify for EM385 10 Hour, OSHA 30 Hour, SWPPP, Hazwopper, CPR, Fall Protection, Scaffolding and several others.

2009 GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT / CHINA LAKES NAVAL WEAPONS AIR STATION / RIDGECREST, CALIFORNIA

Coordinate all activities for the start up of three projects at China Lake Naval Weapons Air Station. Review and comment on structural, civil and architectural drawing during design build phase, identify existing underground utilities, set up main office and job site office trailers, map and install construction fencing. Temporary 90 day employment to assist past employer with project start up allowing GC the time required to staff the project accordingly. Contract value at $63 million.

2003-2009 PRE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER / PROJECT FACILITATOR / STATE OF UTAH

Project Development and Land Acquisition for several Mixed Use Master Planned Communities including Entitlement Procedures, Pre Construction and Design Build requirements interfacing with Master Planning Groups, Architects, Engineers, Real Estate Brokers, Designer’s and City Municipalities as the Owner’s Representative including sub contractor selection and pre-qualification. 1996 PAINTING & DRYWALL SUPERINTENDENT / TEMPORARY CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT

Company troubled with inadequate supervision, insufficient labor and more than 90 days behind schedule on a 560 unit high end multi family residential project in Fresno California creating potential legal issues for sub contractor. Reestablished schedule of values and confidence with owner’s representative and general contractor, developing a sufficient labor pool, open local office, established local vendors for supply and bring scope pf work current with construction schedule. Eliminated all 90 schedule delay date penalties and $280,000 in additional back charges from General Contractor within a temporary 60 day period allowing the sub contractor adequate time to properly staff the project with management

1993-1995 STRUCTURAL CONCRETE SUPERINTENDENT / CIVIL SUPERINTENDENT / LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

Supervise 15 to 45 employees self performing all concrete work on various retail shopping centers, grocery stores, cold storage facility, military, CIP industrial and public works projects ranging in size from 50,000 sq ft to 1 million sq ft.
