RAIL-CAR EXPERIENCE

GATX Rail, Waycross, GA April 2005 – Present

Estimator (Current Position)

• Estimate the cost of repairing defects of rail cars and enter information into GATX system

• Process work orders for each railcar.

• Make sure all EN’s (engineering notice) and FM’s (fleet management) are up to date and complete

NDT Inspector

• Inspect the structural integrity of each car including performing thorough inspections of all pad to tank, bar to pad and bar to tank welds. Inspect all weld terminations

• Perform magnetic particle, dye penetrant, and remote visual on areas where needed.

• Make sure that each car is at FRA and AAR standards.

Mechanical B / Coil & Valve Specialist

• Ensure that the coil & valve of each car is not leaking and that each valve is in good working condition.

• Cut the jacket off the cars for inspection.

Cleaning Assistant

• Sample each car for what commodity it has been hauling and how much is left in the car

• Clean each car to customer specifications

• Assist the removal of waste when vacuum truck arrives to collect, perform good waste containment operations

Purge Rack Operator

• Vent and flare the gases that are in each Hi-Pressure car

• Air test car to ensure that valves are in good working condition

• Remove valves to send off and re-apply when rebuilt

Liner, Painter & Stenciler

• Apply different linings in each car for different commodities to customer specifications

• Paint the exterior of each car to customer specifications & apply stencils to the car per FRA standards

Interior Blast Operator

• To remove the old lining for new application, clean out dust and grit to ensure that the new lining will be uncontaminated
