Responsible for all Afton Chemicals program including $300MM+ Far East Facilities Project to construct a grassroots fuel and lubricant additives facility in Singapore
Willbros Engineering- Houston
Program Manager
Responsible for project management and engineering for $80MM+ greenfield gas stabilizer facilities to be constructed in two locations in the Eagle Ford area of Texas for Conoco Phillips. Responsible for coordination of support and budgeting of engineering services and overall management of the EPC schedule and QA/QC services.

Responsible for directing the implementation of the Willbros Project Management Office. This effort encompasses establishing guidance and direction for developing proposals and managing EPC projects for Upstream, Downstream and the Utilities T&D business segments globally:
• Development of the PMO Mission Statement, leadership organizational structure and Project Manager Network
• Setting the annual budget and goals for the PMO
• Development of and training to all new Project Management Procedures and Best Practices
• Facilitate development of Leadership and Functional area training for Project Managers
• Led effort to develop competency map to enable accurate assessment of company's project management talent and development needs
• Conduct peer reviews of ongoing projects to ensure successful implementation
• Provide oversight, assistance and troubleshooting as needed during proposal development or project execution (recently completed evaluation and lessons learned on +400MM Power Plant Project proposal for Iraq)
Integrated Service Company- Houston
Developed training presentation and presented materials to project managers as a part of Willbros 2010 Project Management Excellence effort. Training program included the bid development including scope definition for EPC projects and change management.
Project Manager for $55MM Marathon T&L Pipeline Facilities Project in Garyville, Louisiana being performed by Willbros EPC
• Assumed project manager responsibilities in April 2009 mid-way during construction. Primary client contact for completion of engineering and procurement being performed by Willbros EPC and construction being performed by InServ Construction Services. This includes managing a total staff of approximately 100 persons including construction craft labor and field office personnel. Accomplishments included significant improvement in client-contractor team working relationship, a complete turnaround in safety performance and successful start up of all facilities.
Project Manager for $30+MM Belco Scrubber Project for Western Refining in Gallup, New Mexico
• Leading the FEL effort for the client including managing the technology licensor and engineering contractors to develop the detailed cost estimate for installation of a Belco EDV Scrubber with Lo-TOx technology.
Project Manager for $40MM Benzene Reduction Project for the CHS Inc. Refinery in Laurel, Montana.
• Leading the FEL1 effort to determine the best process approach and develop a project execution strategy including the selection of the technology licensor and engineering contractor which will allow the client to meet the new EPA mandate to reduce levels of benzene in the refinery gasoline pool.
Project Engineering Manager on two major capital projects for the CHS Inc. Refinery in Laurel, Montana:
• Installation of a new Electrostatic Precipitator in FCC Unit replacing an old CO Boiler. Project ITC is $7MM.
• Modifications to the FCC Regenerator including installation of a new Orifice Chamber, Air Grid and Fluffing Ring. Project ITC is $3MM.
Project Manager responsible for preparation of lump sum EPC bids for FCC Feed Module replacement projects.
DuPont Engineering- Houston
Project Manager for the following capital projects being executed simultaneously at two different engineering contractors totaling approximately $90MM:
• Construction of two stand alone thermal oxidizer and scrubber systems in the TiO2 production unit at the Delisle, MS plant.
• Construction of a new Aniline production facility at the First Chemical subsidiary located on the Bayer Manufacturing complex at Baytown, TX
• Retrofitting an existing facility at the First Chemical subsidiary in Pascagoula, MS. to run a process to reduce levels of PFOA in a finished product.
One of the major challenges in accomplishing the projects listed above is the fact that much of this work took place during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina which had a major impact on the Delisle and Pascagoula, Mississippi plants and their ability to support on going project work.
Member of DuPont's Capital Project Improvement Process Leadership Network- helped to develop Best Practices for writing Business and Project Objectives, IPA benchmarking and Gatekeeping Reviews.
DuPont Engineering- Beaumont
Project Team Leader for numerous projects associated with the Acrylonitrile unit improvement plan and general services upgrades totaling over $15MM. These projects included:
• Replacement of an existing 17.5’ dia. X 150’ tall absorber column
• Redesign and replacement of all reactor system heat exchangers
• Replacement of the unit chemical sewer system
• Retrofit of an existing stack with a burner system for use as a back up vent gas incinerator
• Installation of a refrigeration system to reduce venting from the site ammonia tank
DuPont Protein Technologies- St. Louis & Memphis
Project Team Leader for:
• Front end loading and programming for an $80MM project to construct a new corporate office and research facility in St. Louis. This work involved leading a team of office and research representatives to develop the concept for a new state of the art facility using the services of a world class architectural firm
• Front end loading and preliminary design for a new $25MM soy protein production facility at the Memphis plant.
DuPont- Crop Protection
Project Leader for the following major capital projects:
• Commercialization of Fortress Insecticide: A $20MM project which included development of a state of the art product delivery system, retrofitting an existing insecticide synthesis unit and construction of a green field formulation facility at the Mobile, AL plant. Responsibilities included managing the work of two project engineers, the interface between the project team and business unit and all interface between the site operations and engineering contractor,
• Commercialization of Steward Insecticide: A $60MM project which included a complete dismantling and cleanout of an existing herbicide synthesis and packaging facility and installation of all new process equipment including construction of a new blast resistant control room with a state of the art DCS system and new motor control center. Responsibilities included managing the work of the site engineering organization involved
• with the project and all work performed by the engineering contractor along with all interface between the engineering team and business unit.
• Numerous capital projects totaling over $10MM at the Barranquilla, Colombia site, including installation of a liquid CO2 fire suppression and SO2 process gas analyzer system in existing drying equipment, design of a new wastewater treatment system and installation of new milling, pan granulation, drying and packaging equipment for the production of a dry flowable fungicide.
DuPont/Shell Chemical- Mobile Plant
Project Engineer on numerous plant projects for the crop protection and specialty chemicals businesses including:
• Project Engineer for numerous plant projects, mostly in support of the Bladex Herbicide and Pydrin Insecticide construction projects
• Project Engineer on the OP-V startup at Shell’s Norco refinery
• Project/Construction Engineer on a $10MM project to retrofit the Pydrin Insecticide unit to manufacture an enriched technical material.
