Clinical & Diagnostic Skills Very proficient with complete patient workups to include: Cataract, Cornea, LASIK, Glaucoma and Retina. Patient history, visual acuity, refraction, pupil function, confrontational visual fields, slit lamp examination, tonometry (NCT, Pneumo, Tonopen and Applanation), Highly experienced with all testing equipment including but not limited to: IOL Master, Manual A-Scan, Immersion A-Scan, Pentacam, Topography, Wave Scan, Specular Microscopy, Optos Camera, HRT, OCT, Humphrey and Octopus Perimetry, VISX Laser(Certified Operator), B-Scan, GDX and Basic Retinal Photography.

Surgical Experience Extensive Surgical Assistant/Scrub experience in the following areas: Cataract (PEIOL, Extra Cap, Sutured IOL and Anterior Chamber Lenses), Cornea (PKP, Pterygiectomy, DASEK, Superficial Keratectomy, Diamond Polish and Deep Lamellar Grafts), Pupiloplasty, Cryotherapy, LASIK (Laser Operator and Scrub) and PRK. Very comfortable with all areas included in Minor Surgery.

Cornea Associates of Texas Nov. 2010-Present

Senior Level Tech Position with responsibilities in Clinic as Scribe for four Doctors and normal technician duties to include full workups and testing. In addition I have been in charge of testing system integration into our EMR(Nextgen)as well as routine I.T. issues.

Vision Quest 2004-Oct. 2010

Senior Level Tech Position with responsibilities in Clinic and Surgery. Duties included complete patient workups, surgical assisting and VISX Laser Operation. I also have a background in I.T. so I helped with internal network issues and connectivity.

Carter Eye Center 2002-2004

Mid-Level Tech Position with responsibilities in Clinic and Surgery. Duties included complete patient workups and LASIK Surgery Assisting and Nidek and VISX Laser Operation.
