Safety Manager/Senior ES&H Representative – Managed four Industrial Safety Professionals. Provided technical support and daily field ES&H oversight for over 200 craft workers on construction and hazardous waste site deactivation and demolition projects. Provided technical support and field oversight for removal of chemical hazardous materials, asbestos abatement, and radiological hazardous materials. Developed over 430 Activity Hazards Analysis for work planning and numerous material hoisting and rigging plans.

Provided technical support on the Project Review Committee and Project Planning Teams which develop, review and approve project work control and safety documents. Conducted accident/incident investigations and assessments for compliance to OSHA and company regulations and procedures. Instructor for Employee ES&H Orientation, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Lockout/Tagout and Asbestos Awareness Training. Developed and maintained procedures for the Industrial Safety Department, assisted in the revision of the Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) Description document, and development of ISMS implementing documents.

Safety Manager - Managed Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, Medical and Security Departments in a world-scale petrochemical plant. Developed and implemented ES&H programs to ensure compliance with corporate, state, and federal requirements. Managed a 1.3 million-dollar annual budget. Supervised a 19 member ES&H staff and a 110 member emergency brigade. Developed the Industrial Hygiene program and established monitoring and characterization of approximately 30 chemicals. Conducted process hazard reviews for chemical plant processes. Team leader for the Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Team for transportation incidents.

Senior Industrial Hygiene/Safety Engineer - Provided corporate technical support and consulting for safety, industrial hygiene, and radiological programs for DuPont and DuPont subsidiary commerical plants. Conducted on-site assessments at fortyfive DuPont and DuPont subsidiary plants in the United States, Europe, and South America. Developed and maintained Safety and Health Engineering Standards and Guidelines.

E. I. DU PONT, HEALTH PHYSICS DEPARTMENT, SAVANNAH RIVER PLANT, AIKEN, SOUTH CAROLINA

Senior Health Physicist – Provided health physics technical support for three nuclear reactors. Senior Health Physics Supervisor for K and L area nuclear reactors and managed a staff of nine radiological technicians. Additional supervisory positions included Health Physics support for Waste Management, Separations, Raw Materials, environmental monitoring, personnel dosimetry, whole body counter, and bioassay departments.

Lieutenant Colonel Staff Officer – Duties included Chemical Warfare Defense Officer/Trainer, Minute Man Missile Combat Launch Crew Commander/Trainer, and Weather Forecaster.
