Jul 2011 – Present ITT Exelis Mission Systems, K-BOSSS

Fire Captain / Station Captain- Managed various fire station in Kuwait on military installation in support of base operations. Position requires command of responding units to any type of emergency including structural fires, aircraft incidents, vehicle incidents, hazardous material incidents, medical responses, and suspicious or explosive device incidents. This position also requires management of training, inspections, automatic detection and suppression system maintenance, coordination with other support function departments and military command staffs.

Jul. 2011 – Jan 2011 G4S Security Solutions

Security Supervisor & Emergency Responder- Managed assignments and training of security officers for a major client of G4S. Position also required emergency response to medical, fire, rescue, hazardous material, and any other emergency incident that occurred on the client property. In the event of an emergency position was required to act as liaison between the client and responding agencies such as fire department or law enforcement.

Fire Officer – Managed remote Fire Stations locations throughout Kuwait in support of ASG Kuwait. Provided emergency response and mitigation of structural, aircraft, hazardous materials, medical, and rescue emergencies. As the senior fire officer on post duties required direct planning with military command staff to provide effective and efficient emergency response and planning. Provided fire prevention and safety inspections for all facilities and areas on each assigned post. Assisted and occasionally trained fire alarm technicians on post to provide improved detection and notification systems on each assigned post.

Jan. 2010 – Aug. 2006 Associated Sprinkler Co.

Fire Protection Maintenance Technician - Contracted to RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. from Associated

Sprinkler Co. to maintain, test and inspect all fire protection equipment owned by RJ Reynolds. Worked directly with all types of suppression systems; Wet Pipe, Dry Pipe, Pre-Action, Deluge, Multimatic, Antifreeze, Co2, Halon 1301, FM200, High Expansion Foam (Aircraft Hanger’s), and other special hazard systems. Also directly worked on electric and diesel fire pumps, jockey pumps, back-flows, fire hydrants, post indicator valves, underground fire mains, potable water mains and booster pumps, above and below grade water reservoirs, and additional assets as needed. Although mainly responsible for the mechanical aspects of fire protection I also assisted regularly with fire alarm testing, inspections, and repairs. All systems and operations were maintained or conducted to NFPA, FM Global, NC State Fire Code, AHJ, and other applicable standards and regulations.
