Construction Estimation/Contract Administration is a major interest area of mine and I have been working in this field since June 2000. This position will afford me the opportunity of enhancing your organization’s work by ensuring timely and accurate estimate bidding/Close out, quality control, estimating change request, cost control and project schedule, lump sum tendering and by providing excellent contract and commercial management skills in the administration of contracts between your organization and its supply chain.
A 'hands on' professional with Permanent Residence status in Canada and wealth of experience in cost estimation and planning, technical administration of construction subcontracts for various work including Unit price, lump sum and T&M, preparation of pricing schedule for quotes. I also prepare liability statement and end life forecast report for sub-contracting work packages, payment certification/invoicing, cost control, supervise final accounting and monitoring activities. Moreover, I’m actively involved in the preparation of the RFP documents as well as short listing and prequalifying potential bidders right up to contract award ensuring strict compliance with the appropriate policies.
I have strong working knowledge on EPC/EPCM Contracts from both the Owner and Contractor’s perspective and I am familiar with many of the Forms of Contracts used in the light and heavy industries internationally. I possess outstanding commercial acumen, all of which are evident from my employment experience and training. I work effectively on project teams and also independently where necessary.
Of note, also, is my management experience. I actively co-ordinate cost database directories from vendors and also manage proper filing system on all project. In addition to my employment record, I am an Associate member of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) since 2007. I have Bachelor and Masters' degrees in Quantity Surveying and Cost Engineering respectively. Moreover, I am specially trained in Project Management Strategies from the University of Regina (Business & Professional Development).
My knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications is very good and I am highly proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Project, Primavera Contract Manager 6.0 and can master the use of any software within the shortest time possible.
