EXPERIENCE:

2006-Present: Mechanical Senior Craft

Conducted in depth research of New Mexico codes and OSHA regulations. I used the information gathered and studied to develop both directives and inspection procedures. Participated in various self study trainings and successfully qualified the first time around. Have been sought out and hand picked to participate in Operational Readiness Reviews where I worked closely with a team of highly qualified workers. Our responsibility was to take a 360 look at Maintenance and work control and spot weak and problem areas. We were then tasked to produce an inclusive report indicating findings and possible solutions and avenues of resolution. Later we cohesively worked with other divisions to ensure proper response to such findings.

Had the opportunity to extensively write and review procedures concerning plant systems, operations and maintenance. Some areas of particular knowledge in the procedure writing are; fire and safety, confined space entry, job hazards, crane and rigging, directives and briefs.

Assisted in initial developing of maintenance training objectives. During this time I exercised an attitude that reflected high standards and continual striving for excellence.

As LES spokesmen for a Job Fair in San Antonio Texas I was able to work closely with other departments including Human Resources to ensure the company objective was carried out. This served to sharpen my interpersonal skills and provided me with a better view and understanding of the overall Company objectives.

At present I participate in several groups within our work structure that provide knowledge and understanding of system functionality, process improvement, NRC compliance, maintenance procedures and more. It provides an active and proactive banter between several departments that ensures all systems meet the highest standards and are well within industry codes and NRC regulations. This process lowers cost and time consumption while increasing productivity and the quality of the work itself.
