Worked daily as a team member with surveyors who guided my work on grades, compaction and amount of material needed to add or take away from a location. For large concrete pouring I work with a team of 8 to 10 people.
Being aware of safety techniques and rules was part of my daily work. There was considerable risk in the environment with large equipment, open trenches, ladders that needed to be tied off to name just a few hazards.

I was a member of a team responsible for maintenance of 12 Bradleys and eight support vehicles. We were accountable for assuring that vehicle services were performed as schedule. As Team Leader I had additional responsibilities for a team of four people and five vehicles. We had tight deadlines we needed to meet. This required us to plan how, when and where work would be carried out. We learned how to perform emergency repairs in combat situations which required significant teamwork. I also coached these men and women on the basics of being a soldier such as now to perform in formation, personal grooming and passing PT tests. Demonstrated proficiency in multiple weapons systems.
Besides my role as a mechanic I also volunteered for training as a Combat Life Saver for the Company. This role required me to perform advance first aid that included treating trauma and starting IV lines in emergency situations.
