• Eliminated major non-compliance finding by developing and implementing changes of the supplier management process to ensure compliance to the ISO 9000:2000 standard. Process improvements considered “benchmark” and are being reviewed for integration into Balluff’s Global Purchasing System.
• Increased revenue of linear positioning product group using project management skills in leading the process changes required for the successful registration of Balluff, Inc.’s QMS to EN 13980:2002 Potentially explosive atmospheres – Application of quality systems and the European Union’s ATEX Directive (94/9/EC). Passed the initial registration audit in less than 90 days of initial request for QMS certification to enable sale of product to the European Union.
• Created data collection tools and Supplier Quality Performance reports for strategic suppliers in conjunction with the SAP ERP System in Quality Assurance resulting in process improvement changes at/with critical suppliers and in supplier performance reporting with Balluff Corporate Quality and Central Purchasing. The process changes resulted in a >30% reduction or elimination of non-value-added incoming inspection.
• Improved internal audit process by developing and implementing Internal Auditor Incentive Program which including monthly training to develop the internal audit team, resulting in the implementation of auditing processes for effectiveness and compliance, standardized Audit Reports and Corrective Action guidelines. The audit process was deemed “benchmark process” by external ISO and ATEX auditors.
• Implemented changes to the Balluff, Inc. QMS to ensure compliance to the People’s Republic of China Quality Management System Requirements (GB 14048) to obtain approval to add the CCC mark to BES product family labels for sales into the People’s Republic of China.
