Responsibilities/Environment: At ENA I was responsible for the Corporate LAN structure and servers. I was responsible for the Active Directory structure spread out over 5 different vlans. This included DNS, WINS, and DHCP. Also I was responsible for the Corporate Exchange Server for 180 user’s accounts. (We had 3 exchange servers at one time but the other two offices closed down over a year ago. There were a total of 55 servers in house that were the systems engineers’ responsibility, over 150 Cache and Filter servers located throughout the state that were also the responsibility of the system engineers to help maintain and upgrade. As systems engineers we maintained a Linux based monitoring solution that reported uptime static’s on all 1,900 routers located in public schools across the state.
