Position - Civil Designer
I used the program AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009 to design, draft and complete construction documents. I worked closely with P.E. to design roads thru hill sides and flat surfaces. Construction projects were from all over Texas in multiple jurisdictions. Multiple water model software was needed to comply with these different jurisdictions. One software that was used was WSPG software to develop steady flow water surface profiles and pressure gradients in open channels and closed conduits with irregular and regular sections to help in the design of subdivisions . In depth employer sponsor grading and design classes completed. Work alongside engineers and EIT’s to accurately design and draft wastewater systems, water systems and storm sewer systems. I provided an extra eye to identify any conflicts that would come up in the design process, before the design would leave the company for review or construction.

Began learning in depth design processes of construction plans such as site plans and subdivisions to be designed up to code and for ease of use. Worked with HEC-1 to create water flow profiles to estimate creek flows thru project sites and assist engineers on designs to build roads over creeks.
