Exceptionally skilled at problem solving.
Able to turn rough "napkin" sketches into precision 3D animations within hours.
Able to draft up to a dozen interlocking parts per day complete with DXF technical drawings and tolerances.
Knowledgeable in physics, mechanical engineering, machining and fabrication.
Experienced in Solidworks generating blueprints, patent drawings, testing designs, etc.
Skilled at operating lathes, mills, and other machine tools including mig welding.
Able to generate virtually any type of 2D illustrations in any media.
Creative, self motivated with leadership skills and enjoys working with a team.
Independent from any university or agency, Nathan has taught himself physics, mechanical & electrical engineering, SolidWorks machine design, illustrating & writing patents, digital photo editing, animation, traditional portrait painting, airbrushing, and mural painting, and was privately educated in machining & tooling, welding, metal-working, and faux finishing.
Nathan Hintz has devoted over a decade to developing clean energy technologies, primarily focused on the engineering and design of wind turbines for the last five years.
An artist as well as a skilled machinist, using artistic design skills in Solidworks engineering software to develop some of the simplest most efficient construction with the most attractive designs the wind industry has ever seen.
Nathan is skilled at sculpting with a variety media including metal, foam, as well as composites, and has built and tested a variety of wind turbines to develop the present configuration. Combining the knowledge of the most effective wind turbine designs with his artistic and engineering skills, he has produced this elegant looking, easily manufactured design that will perform better than any other competing turbine.
Nathan is able to turn a rough “napkin” sketch into a 3D model within minutes and fully testing a design in the computer before making a single cut. Shown exceptional ability at problem solving with imaginative solutions. Filing for several patents on a variety of turbine designs and other clean energy generation and storage systems.
Nathan has collaborated with several other designers and artists through his career and has produced a wide variety of creations including a wide variety of wind turbines. From twelve foot diameter rotors with over a hundred blades in California to a garden of floral turbines for the Lebonheur children’s hospital in Tennessee.
Nathan Hintz has been interested in both art and engineering all his life. He sold his first painting at the age of 12. By the age of 15 he was exhibiting in museums after having won in the National Congressional Art Competition in 1990. He is published in the Encyclopedia of Living Artists and has had his work displayed in the Congressional office in St. Cloud Minnesota.
Nathan has regularly exhibited at Las Vegas Art and Antiquities, Leila Gallery, The Museum Store at the Las Vegas Art Museum, The New Century Art Gallery, Digital Galleries, Art Creates and the Museum Store at the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art.
Nathan has worked in almost every known media selling work in local Las Vegas galleries, working as a portrait painter, faux finisher, mural painter and more. Working with oils, acrylics, lacquers, epoxies, airbrush, HVLP, conventional, airless, and sculpting in metal, clay, wood, foam, epoxies & polymers, Nathan is extremely versatile and talented in many areas.
