Supply Chain Supervisor 2001-2006
- Expertly managed Aviation Department Repairables Management Branch, consisting of 16 personnel; responsible areas include: warehouse operations, inventory management, asset management, and shipping and receiving duties.
- Managed 26,000 line item repairable item inventory, valued at over $650 million with 100% inventory accuracy. Coordinated the induction, movement and receipt of assets through the repair cycle, including off-station repairs.
- Supervised the change over from manual inventory procedures to a barcode inventory process, greatly reducing man-hours, second counts, re-counts and count errors resulting in increased inventory validity and Location Audit Procedures. Personally responsible for process improvement within the barcode program by finding and fixing compatibility issues between the readers and the host, allowing for reduced download time of almost 30%.
- Set the standard for inventory procedures and processes that became the example for all carriers in the Navy. Solely responsible for the training of over 150 personnel on 6 different carriers and the creation of the Standard Operating Procedure for the Integrated Barcode System now in use by all automated Supply Departments.
