Quality Control Inspector (Lead-man)
Total Quality management exposure in a continuous operations environment that consists of multiple facilities, functions and product lines including forging of raw material, heat treatment and mechanical testing of forged product, machining of finished product, marking and packing for on-time delivery of accurate goods to customer.
• Responsible for ensuring that traceability of materials is met during various stages of production including forging, heat treatment, inventory, machining, warehousing of finished products, and on-time shipments.
• Constant auditing of 8 robotic machining cells to ensure at all times quality standards are being met.
• Developed stock stacking guidelines to ensure inventory is accurate with any non-conforming materials in the production process.
• Perform various non-destructive tests throughout the stages of production including MT, PT, and UT to identify non-conformances and their relation to the production process to ensure quality standards are held to the highest customer standards.
• Database management of non-conformances and disposition of vendor returns, reclassifications of non-conforming products, scrap, stock replacements, and order revisions.
• Implementation of in-process inspections has reduced costumer returns by 95% in 2010.
• Participated in the deployment of two state-of-the-art production forge lines. Assisted in designing, fabrication, inspection and testing forge dies for 1500 ton press line and ring roller to create contour forgings. Also contributed in the design, fabrication, inspection and testing of forge dies for 4000-ton robotic mechanical press.
• Management of calibrations on all precision measuring devices, including calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, magnetic particle testing equipment, and UT testing devices. Creation of database and certification process for all calibrated tools to ensure they are calibrated regularly.
• Highly skilled in positive material identification to customer specifications and I am experienced using the Spectro-Test Spectrometer.
• I am proficient using the programs AutoCad 2010 and AutoCad inventor 2010 to generate blueprints for manufacture purposes.
• Responsible for maintaining Material Test Report Database (MTR) to ensure that all traceability has been met during the manufacturing process.
