Responsible for all customer approval drawings as well as shop production drawings for a custom walk-in cooler manufacturer. I made job site visits on many occasions to insure proper design and ample room for custom installations to best meet customer’s needs. Additionally I would assist the sales department in preparation of sales proposals as well as the purchasing department during busy times.
Purchasing Agent / Sales (April 1995-April 1999)
My duties included the procurement of all raw materials and services required in the manufacture of our finished product including various metal, lumber, hardware and urethane foam insulation as well as refrigeration equipment and controls. I also had complete control and responsibility for inventory levels. During busy times I would assist the sales department with the preparation of sales proposals.

My duty was the preparation of sales proposals for custom walk-in coolers and freezers generated from customer supplied blueprints and or drawings. My customer base included QuikTrip, RaceTrac and Exxon Mobil as well as others. Additionally, I would assist in the training of new reps in how to read blueprints and know what information was necessary to correctly generate a proposal and how to correctly enter this information into the computer.

Call center team supervisor for 16 member western region client service team. All reps were trained to handle all customer service, premium and member service department issues. My duties included the monitoring of daily rep performance, monitoring call volumes as well as rep training and occasionally handling escalated calls from policyholders in order to make an attempt at resolving issues. In addition, I researched and responded to all state insurance board and attorney letters while working closely with our legal department.

I primarily prepared commercial narrative appraisals for area banks, savings and loans and mortgage companies. I was an outside sales rep before being promoted to branch manager after 11 months. Detrex Chemical was a manufacturer of chlorinated and Freon solvents used in manufacturing of mechanical and electrical components. Our center was one of eleven distribution centers around the country. We were also a reclamation center where we repackaged and sold recycled solvents. It was my duty to ensure that all EPA, Texas Department of Water Resources and Texas Air Control Board mandated paperwork was correctly completed and filed with the necessary agencies as required and assured that our facility met all requirements and that our employees followed all regulations. Additionally, I covered a sales territory that covered an area from Wichita Falls to San Antonio and Abilene to Hope, AR all while training and supervising another sales rep.

I was responsible for the procurement of all raw materials and services required in the manufacturing of our finished product as well as complete control over inventory levels and vendor sourcing.
