• Used 5S, SMED, kanban and other lean manufacturing techniques with emphasis on the Toyota Manufacturing System.

• Developed and implemented formal training programs for Supervisors, Set-up Technicians and Material Handlers that resulted in a 0% turnover rate for these positions over a 2 year period.

• Attained molding department compliance with QS/ISO requirements. Went from probationary status to 4 consecutive UL audits without a negative finding.

• Initiated the concept of electronically stored set-up sheets, facilitated a computer-based labor reporting system and lowered direct labor costs to less than 10%.
