Workforce Development Specialist – Business Services – Monterey County Temp Position

Conduct community outreach to participate in the Workforce Solutions Program. Workforce Solutions, is a program of the One Stop Career Center and I place unemployed Monterey County residents in positions that can lead to permanent employment. I meet with businesses throughout the community doing presentations and one-on-one meetings and refer individuals.

Senior Recruiter – Talent Acquisition Team - Virtual Position

Responsibilities included managing all phases of recruitment life cycle for Senior Sales Consultant positions throughout the U.S. Including extending offers, background checks, employment verifications, personal references, and on-boarding new-hire paperwork.

MCYEP - Monterey County Youth Employment Program - (Temp Position-Manpower Staffing)

Employer Relations Specialist – WorkConnection

Primary focus was community outreach recruiting businesses to participate, educate, and to promote the Monterey County Youth Employment Program. I traveled throughout the community educating businesses regarding the TANF grant, stipulations and the rules & regulations in order to participate in program. Trained businesses with the process flow discussing each step of the process; worksite registration, orientation, policies, rules & regulations, Child Labor Laws, referral process, up to interviewing youth participant, etc. Other responsibilities included strategic planning to generate new business development and other marketing efforts, which expanded customer base. I followed-up on new leads, inbound inquiries, cold calls and appointments, in person and by telephone. In addition, conducted presentations and participated in professional associations.

Relationship management – developed and maintained on-going strong relationships with a diverse range of clientele this included Non-Profit Agencies, Public & Private Sectors. Established and maintained current client database for mailing and communication procedures. Other responsibilities included implementing referrals for the youth, scheduling referral sessions, and developing documentation such as application, worksite request form, survey, etc. In addition, coached and assisted with new Employer Relations Specialists, and assisted Youth Advisors with employer communication regarding 1st & 2nd time referrals and other aspects of their employment.

Accomplishments: In 2010, exceeded goals and increased business by 50%. The Program produced & generated $7+ million dollars involving 1375 young adults and 975 employers within a 6 month period.
