Implementation/Production support Flex cube corporate banking Product for Barclays ABSA South Africa(NBC and BBM).

Barclays ABSA South Africa Implementation is a Replatforming project involving replacement of their Legacy banking system with ORACLE Flexcube suite consisting several Interfaces which includes Flexcube Corporate, Flexcube Retail, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Channels, FLEXML and Electronic Messaging.

This project was unique in nature as the Bank had around 70+ interfaces and with a wide network of over 200+ Branches with good volume of business in Mozambique and Tanzania. The Bank had over 3.0 mio customers and customer accounts and among other challenges, the Implementation includes huge data migration from legacy system to FLEXCUBE.

Some of the critical reports were developed using Business Object tool at site as per the requirement of regulatory/bank’s requirement.

All Corporate modules viz., GL, Corporate Loans, Corporate Deposits, Payments including RTGS and International Funds Transfer, Trade including Letter of Credit, Letter of Guarantees, Standby LCs, Shipping Guarantees & various types of Bills, Corporate Standing Instructions etc., Since FLEXCUBE Corporate supports Electronic Messaging across all modules, the implementation of EMS/SWIFT was also part of this project.

The project had undergone all phases of SDLC, viz., Site specific developments, Unit Testing, Component Testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Test, Performance Testing, Penetration Testing, Live Confidence Testing, Soft Go Live and finally LIVE. I was involved as Technical Lead Support in all these phases from Day 1 of the project.

Moby Banking Product Designed for virtual banking Clients

Bankers can remotely Access the server from Customer place (Specifically for the corporate customers) using various Radio connectivity like Wi-Fi or GPRS etc.

Moby Banking Product will give flexibility for the bankers to serve the Customer at door step. The Modules (LD, FT, LC, BC etc) involved in the product called factory bundles will be stored in Moby Banking Server. Server will transfer’s factory bundles into handheld devices based on the user request.

User will book the contracts and send for the Authorization by using Handheld Devises. And also Logs the Details in Local database which is in server and Generate the Email for the Corresponding Customer. MobyBanking Diagnosis tool for Generate customized Customer statement reports and graphs.

Factory bundles are classified in Module wise

The factory bundles are basically CAB files, EXEs and compiled scripts which may be created in different platforms and different languages, typically from .net compact framework, eVC++, eVB, C++ and scripts from like Perl, TK, TCS, VB script Java script etc. The option of creating application or script in any platform will give freedom to programmer to choose best suitable option, as language and scripts will be decided on which type of Module is to be executed in User Handled devise . When the User will select the particular Module or set of Module’s MobyBankServer application will transfer all necessary Cab’s, EXEs and scripts from factory bundles to the Corresponding User’s Devices.
