• Accumulated 250 pairs of eyeglasses (reading glasses and prescription glasses) – to be distributed to those in need. I assessed what the glasses were needed for in order to decide if reading glasses were needed or if prescription glasses were needed.
• Accumulated 500 toothbrushes – to be distributed to children and adults after taught proper oral hygiene techniques
• Accumulated 250 tubes of toothpaste – to be distributed with toothbrushes
• Received $2500.00 in monetary donations
• Packed and assigned the 12 suitcases to the members of the Medical Mission Team
• Acted as dispensing optician – dividing glasses for each day of clinics, sizing each person for the correct eyeglasses and dispensing reading glasses to those who needed them. I also worked as a verifier, checking prescriptions that were filled to ensure that the correct person received the correct medications. Assisted with vacation bible school activities – watching children, playing games, and teaching proper oral hygiene.
