Export/Import Specialist
Essential Functions:
-Plan and direct the flow of goods for export/import traffic.
-Verify part, serial number, and quantity with quality assurance prior to shipment.
-Work with packaging company for crating and barrier bagging of shipments.
-Preparation of documents, including Pro-forma/Commercial invoice, packing list, shippers export declaration, import letter of instruction, ATA Carnets, ITAR and license agreements, Schedule B and HTS Codes.
-Coordinating packaging and shipments of hazardous materials.
-Maintain close liaison among brokers, shippers, and the warehouse.
-Expedites movement of goods in and out of the country through knowledge of shipping regulations, and resolved customs delays.
Required Functions:
-Attend conference/seminars to stay current with USG regulations.
-Maintain export/import spreadsheet for all shipments for due diligence.
-Perform restricted party screening once a year with who we maintain Powers of Attorney.
-Perform restricted party screening on customs prior to shipment.
-Yearly audits on brokers to ensure they are compliant with USG and corporate regulations
-Verify invoices before they are sent to accounting for payment.

Traffic Manager/Coordinator for all sales order flow
Responsibilities included:
-Coordinated best freight rates with multiple carriers.
-Produced all NAFTA documents for Canada/Mexico. Handled all required documents for all other international shipments.
-Handled all coordination of receipt of incoming containers from Asia.
-Assured that all freight is properly confirmed on all national account contracts, including coordinating all appointments for freight lines with our customers that require preset delivery times.
-Worked with the sales department on all shipping issues such as returns; incorrect addresses, back orders, overnight shipping, freight quotes.
Production responsibilities include:
-All sales orders went through the traffic department where orders are logged in and checked for missing information.
-Next, the orders must be sent one of three departments: UPS or LTL for shipping or to production for manufacturing.
-Inventory was confirmed in the traffic department before the sales orders leave the department.
-If there were any inventory issues, the order went back to sales or to purchasing.
