1Media preparation, Gram Staining ,isolation of colonies, Plate reading,Streaking/Plating of specimen, for isolation, identification of bacteria .Stain preparation and slide reading.Specimen collection e.g Swabbing, Skin snip, urine, blood ,pus ,faeces and other bacteriology and parasitology specimens for diagnosis. The use of microscope and other microbiological equipments,Handling of hazardous laboratory chemicals ,contagious specimen and Coliform counting.

2.Collection of specimens for Bacteriological investigation and diagnostic procedures, Biochemical test and antimicrobial sensitivity procedures.Fungi isolation and identification.Sputum collection,handling and processing for mycobacteria isolation, colour plate reading,Prepation of culture media and stains .The use of serological kits for viral testing procedures.Culture and subculturing of colonies and specimens.Identification of microorganisms and interpretation of microbiology laboratory results.
