PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Project Engineer/Cement Engineer

2007-2010

Halliburton, Rock Springs, WY

Company: Halliburton offers a broad array of oilfield technologies and services to upstream oil and gas customers worldwide.

* Designed cement jobs, with initial information from customer to initial design, testing, review, and final design based on testing results. Execution of designed to review of performance.

* Oversaw lab testing of cement and spacer slurry designs. Tested performance of slurry compressive strengths and development of strengths, available pumping time of slurry, fluid retention/stability, and data for viscosity model at multiple temperatures.

* Provided technical support for operations group. Advised operations leadership on technical functionality of materials. Worked on projects to improving performance, cost, and profitability of multiple material blends through redesign. Other projects involving the development and implementation of technical solutions to customer issues, such as historic major loss circulation during cementing in particular sections.

* On site quality review, checked calculation with service supervisor on location, checked that equipment is setup properly with rock catchers in water lines and proper procedures and policies are followed.

* Solve recurring issues in long-term performance of wells. Modified slurry systems used in areas that had history of loss fluids during cementing operations, modified job designs to allow for improvement of casing protection.

* Investigate job failures or irregularities, check documentation form jobs to ensure proper execution of job. Participate in modification of processes to eliminate potential root causes of reoccurring errors.

* Conducted surveys to gather field data, prepares drawings, layouts, simulation models, and other visual aids. Simulation models used to predict fluid behavior during job based on changes in temperature of the fluids and the geometry of well bore.

* Department 5S Champion for continual performance. Participated in Kaizen event for the Lab, modified procedures to reduce time between receiving of test samples and issuance of reports. Conducted regular inspections of engineering office space for cleanliness, organization, and removal of unnecessary materials.

* Reviewed the development of designs for compliance with applicable codes (Federal/state regulations, BLM, WOGCC, ISO 14001), adopted engineering standards, and good engineering practices

* Prepared engineering analysis of projects, to include: preliminary design, budget analysis, calculations, life cycle costs, and equipment selection. Preliminary design would be a planned selection of material blends based on proven material usage in the area and initial simulation models. Budget analysis would use a baseline pricing guide for planned materials and charges for equipment and personnel. Also, this would involve a listing of costs for additional services, extra equipment or specialized personnel. Calculations included initial estimates on volume of materials and could also include simulation graphs of hydrostatic and pumping pressures at critical locations. Equipment selection covered the minimum equipment to deliver materials and services to customer location. Life cycle costs covered potential future costs for the operation of the well.

* Researched new products and technical concepts for possible use in local operations. Preformed lab tests with new products in existing slurries to develop comparison data with current products. Developed and modified computer simulations for new methods and/or concepts and compared with comparative models. Review company technical documents for possible use(s) of products and methods.

* Worked with billing and inventory personnel to determine irregularities in billing, cost of materials/services, or material usage information. All materials and billings were handled in SAP.

Industrial Engineer

2006

Ingersoll Rand (Contract through Aerotek CE), St. Louis, MO

Company: Aerotek successfully matches qualified candidates with reputable companies across numerous industries.

* Hired to work at Ingersoll Rand, performing process analysis and assisting streamlining and efficiency efforts. Plant was a union shop.

* Handled assignment of staging spaces for shipments prior to being loaded.

* Interacted with line personnel to facilitate the completion of units for shipment.
