Nurse and Allied Health Recruiter (Contract 1099) for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA Inc) from 2001 to 2010.
Experience managing multi-site recruiting staff, advertising and operating budget.
Provide full lifecycle (exempt and non-exempt) recruiting to fill 100 plus open requisitions. Conduct searches to fill senior and mid-level management and staff positions in clinical, allied health, and support positions to include technical, nutritional services, environmental services, business development, marketing, human resources, finance, and administration.
Research market data and trends to identify best sourcing channels and to develop cost efficient and effective recruiting strategies.
Source (active and passive) candidates through a wide verity of channels to include referrals, targeted advertising, special events, career fairs, school programs, social networks, Web boards, search engines, direct mail, and cold calling. Manage recruiting agency and advertising vendor agreements, (i.e., TMP, Bernard Hodes Group).
Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements, assist and advise with position descriptions and interviewing. Service all hospital departments to include Perioperative Services, PACU, Cardiac Cath Lab, CVU, MICU, SICU, CCU, Telemetry, L&D, Post Partum, Pediatrics, NICU, Medical, Surgical, Ortho, ARU, TCU, Medical Imaging, Pharmacy, PT/OT/SLP, Respiratory, Laboratory, Case Management, Social Services, Patient Care Services, etc.
Pre-screen applicants to identify required experience, knowledge, licensure, certification and best fit for position.
Coordinate and conduct interviews with hiring managers and follow-up on selection or non-selection action.
Provide verbal and written contingent job offers and initiate employment processing.
Provide consistent follow-up with hiring managers and candidates to ensure a positive employment processing experience.
Process background/references; verify experience, education, licensure and certification prior to hire.
Collaborate with Human Resources relating to compensation, benefits, employee health, promotion/transfer/status changes, and employment processing of new hires in accordance with company policy, federal, state employment/labor laws and collective bargaining agreements.
Manage and maintain Applicant Tracking System (Taleo, iCIMS) documenting applicant status and performing database searches. Proficient with Lawson HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Report recruiting production metrics in relation to goals and objectives.
