Analyzed production, inventory control, distribution, cost analysis, finance,
marketing, human resources, and other business functions in order to develop new
or modified information processing systems and workflow improvements.
Provided technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and
procedures.
Created and maintained functional specifications for new or modified business
systems.
Consulted and coordinated with systems analysts and programmers to design and
develop automated business systems.
Sentinel Control Technologies, Inc. 2002 – 2003
Houma, Louisiana
Electrical Design Engineer
Developed Steering Amplifier printed circuited board to be used to steer marine
supply vessels. Developed Graphical software package that runs on Windows using
WinCC that allows the user to control the valves of a cargo control system. The
software determines the flow of the cargo once the requested command is executed
and updates the display with the potential flow allowing the user to cancel the
command and prevent cargo contamination or a hazard. Developed PLC software
for various alarm and steering control systems used in the marine industry.
Omega Natchiq (Contractor) 2001 – 2001
Lafayette, Louisiana
Electrical Engineer
Created new and modified existing electric, instrumentation and PLC drawings for
nineteen pump station sites along Marathon’s Centennial Pipeline that begins in
Beaumont, TX and ends in Ohio. The drawings consisted of schematic diagrams and
wiring diagrams for transformers, electric motors, motor operated valves, circuit
breaker panels, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, level sensors, variable
motor drives, lighting and grounding for each of the pumping stations.
Cochrane Technologies, Inc. 1998 – 2001
Broussard, Louisiana
Manager of Engineering/Systems Engineer
Developed system requirements for a magnetic anomaly detector used in
conjunction with a navigation system to detect and locate pipelines on or beneath
the sea floor.
Researched magnetic sensors to identify a sensor with sufficient sensitivity to allow
the detector to detect the presence of a pipeline whenever the detector is within 25
feet of the pipeline.
Designed and built high gain amplifiers along with high order analog filters for signal
processing.
Developed C software for a TMS320C40 DSP based data acquisition board to collect,
process and store magnetic data samples. Code Composer was used to test and
debug software.
Directed team of technicians in the maintenance of a privately owned Differential
GPS network consisting of 5 transmitter stations and more than 25 RF receivers.
Directed team of programmers in the maintenance of a proprietary navigation
software application and in the development of an internet based job and
equipment inventory database application.
C & C Technologies, Inc. 1996 –1998
Lafayette, Louisiana
Systems Analyst
Developed remote controller for an unmanned submarine used in surveying. The
remote controller consisted of a Zilog Z80 based microcontroller and software that
monitored the user’s inputs from a joystick and several pushbuttons and sent the
corresponding serial command to the submarine controller. The microcontroller
also updated the submarine status via a display on the remote controller.
Texas Instruments, Inc. 1985 – 1996
Dallas, Texas
Electrical Design Engineer
Developed test strategies that allowed for greater BIT fault detection and greater
fault isolation. Test strategies were selected by analyzing BIT and factory test
requirements as well as functional hardware and software requirements and
implementation. The test strategies included modifications to functional circuit
implementation, BIT circuitry implementation, BIT circuit and software definition
and implementation and test requirements. Test strategies were developed for the
IBAS/ITAS FLIR system of the M1 tank and the F 16 Modular Mission Computer
(MMC).
Developed real-time embedded software in Motorola assembly language for the
multi-processor electronic system of the P102 project. The software development
included software design, implementation, module test definition and system level
integration and test. The software development process utilized on P102 complied
with MIL-STD-2167A and the Software Engineering Institutes (SEI) Level 3.
Developed board-level test requirements, test adapter stimulation and monitoring
circuitry, embedded software and factory test software for the Navy’s Harpoon
radar guided anti-ship missile system. This development effort consisted of the
design and customer design review of a test adapter for each Harpoon radar PCB.
The development consisted of TMS9989 assembly language software exercising the
processor PCBs and automatic test software. The automatic test software
controlled all test equipment stimuli, monitored PCB responses and determined
whether the PCB responses were within tolerance. The development effort involved
integration between the test set, test adapter and the Harpoon PCB and final
acceptance test.
Supported Harpoon system test set production by verifying acceptance test results
and analyzing and remedying any test failures. Integrated and debugged Harpoon
system test sets installed in Navy maintenance depots.
