Research Internship at the Department of Population Genetics
• Research and analyzed various breast cancer genes and determined strategies for treatment
• Performed in depth analysis of the cell cultured IRX2 gene and developed solutions in inhibiting this gene.
• Used Excel statistical analysis to determine the variations of the breast cancer genes and how prominent they are in the population.

• Determined and analyzed the properties of the biosynthetic pathway of an anticancer tetracycline polyketide by using DNA cloning techniques.

Research Internship at the Department of Cancer Biology and Genetics
• Researched and analyzed the effects of paclitaxel and anti-TGF-beta in the treatment of various breast cancer models
• Performed surgery on lab rats in order to study and model the effects of the treatments.

• A member of the ethylene plant design team with special emphasis on the heating and cracking of the plant.
• Designed and Optimize a Furnace, Transfer Line Exchanger and Quench Tower distillation column
• Designed ammonia primary reformer heat exchanger network and an industry scale multi-level steam system
• Use PRO/II and UNISIM ( HYSYS) extensively for process simulation and studies .

9/2007 – 6/2010 ChemECar Competition Team
• I was part of the team that helped build a shoe-boxed size car and competed against other universities at the National and Regional AIChE conferences
• Designed and explored numerous mechanisms and structure for the most optimal function of the car
• Worked specifically with iodine-clock stopping mechanism and other chemical reactions on generating high pressure or electricity
