Twenty-five plus years of hands on experience in maintenance with Engle, HPM, Ube, Van Dorn, Niigata, Toshiba, and other various brand name injection molding presses from 75 tons to 10,000 tons, as well as production management, work cell design, man-hour/material management in regards to profitability and product/project completion. Over 25 years experience in welding, with earliest certification from 1981, Long Beach Naval Shipyard, Pressure Vessel certification. Experienced with PLC’s, both Allen Bradley and Siemens in many industrial automation configurations. Also, experienced with various name brand material handling equipment, retrofit automation, articulated-arm and gantry robotics, plastics processing and molding troubleshooting and general industrial maintenance. 2000-2004 Shift Master Maintenance Technician

Foamex is one of the world's largest producers of polyurethane foam. Tested to Master Maintenance Technician, having passed tests and checks in over 220 items including mig, tig, and stick welding, machining (lathe and mill), electrical control wiring, electrical/electronics troubleshooting, soldering and pipefitting. Duties include maintaining all plant systems, including automated production equipment, design, fabrication, wiring, etc. of new production equipment, modification of existing, old equipment, and plant wide P.M's. This company is a Defense Department contractor, building electrical and electronic components for the military. Responsible for all plant wide maintenance, machine repair and rebuild, new equipment fabrication, work cell planning and set-up, and preventative maintenance to Mill spec standards.
1996-1999 Senior Maintenance Technician

I assisted this company as a contractor in ramp-up to production from start-up. Duties included process assistance and training, maintenance troubleshooting training, robotics programming training, and production tooling consolation, plant wide maintenance and production consolation, and preventative maintenance in compliance with ISO/QS 9000 standards. Assisted in the qualifications for the same. Worked hand-in-hand with HPM Machinery to bring plant personnel up to speed for the Tier 1 Automotive production.

Installed, rebuild, refurbished and upgraded obsolete/new equipment for various companies. Traveled to and serviced a broad customer base in North, Central, and South America for this Japanese-owned Original Equipment Manufacturer of Plastics and Aluminum Die Cast press and handling equipment manufacturer. Performed new equipment installations, warranty repair, equipment rebuild, and assisted customer in equipment design and programming to fit their unique applications. If the customer had any problems with the equipment that the maintenance department could not solve, we were the representatives sent to them to troubleshoot the equipment and train the employees. Trained maintenance department in the basic troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance, as well as major repair techniques. Trained production and process department in efficient operation of equipment and reduction of cycle time, assisted in tooling problems/tonnage solutions, and ISO/QS 9000 qualification problems.
