SAFETY MANAGER / ON-SITE SAFETY COORDINATOR
Construction safety manager with over 5 years field experience. Privileged to have worked several multi-million dollar projects under companies such as Fluor, Southern Company, KBR, TEI, and many others while accomplishing a history of only 1 recordable injury. My primary responsibilities were training, auditing, and recordkeeping. Many organizations today seek higher safety performance from their employees. Most have been down the road of regulatory compliance-based safety programs only to be disappointed with ok results. Traditional safety program approaches will not provide the safety performance most employers and clients are in need of. Dramatically improving safety performance requires developing an excellent safety culture. This culture change is a strong point in my safety management.

Project Highlights
Power Generation Projects (2006 to Present) 1 recordable injury
Had 1 recordable injury in over 5 year span since entering the field of safety. Primarily worked with Hispanic work force, requiring much more effort from myself to ensure the message and safety culture was effective. Scaffolding was primary work being completed/ trained. Also high on the OSHA citation list, I have yet to receive any citation on any of my job sites. Hispanics and construction industry being the highest injured workforce in the country, 1 recordable injury is a large accomplishment by the workers.
