EXPERIENCE

MV Transportation, 2009-Present

Director of Maintenance, Coordinate efforts to ensure contractual compliance, operations are meeting client expectations and compliance of company policies. Responsible for the maintenance of 30’- 40’ transit vehicles for several MV locations, consisting of mixed fleet of CNG and LNG powered vehicles. Created & reviewed bid models for upcoming contract acquisitions. Environmental Compliance Training, for Maintenance Managers and mechanics for 15 locations including Storm Water, SWPP and Annual Facility audits.

Veolia Transportation (formerly ATC/Vancom), 2000-2009

Maintenance Manager, Antelope Valley Transit Authority, Lancaster, California. Responsible for Maintenance of a fleet 115 vehicles consisting of Commuter, Transit, Paratransit services for the North Los Angeles County. Experienced in weekly, monthly, and annual reporting & compliance for Local, State, Federal entities to include vehicle emission compliance with CARB, and AV AQMD. Introduced Nitrogen to fleet in 2008 as a part of Sustainable Development in return giving an average increase in 5 MPG averaged thru all modes of transit, and showing a decrease by 25% in annual tire purchasing the first year.

Maintenance Director, Central Ohio Transit Authority, Paratransit Services Contract, Columbus, Ohio. Responsible for maintenance of a fleet of 50 vehicles, and also served in an operations manager capacity, managing an organized driver workforce of 100 employees, and functioning as liaison to COTA personnel on all maintenance and operational issues.

Regional Maintenance Manager, Lancaster, California. Provided logistical and maintenance support to a group of paratransit and fixed-route contract operations in the company’s California division. Inspected fleets for launching of new vehicles into revenue service, for retirement and replacement as required. Analyzed financial aspects of maintenance management and provided guidance to public agency clients in the selection and management of vendors and contractors. Serve on company’s regional maintenance council and have generated substantial cost savings, to include a $240,000 gain from a self-implemented frame repair program for Detroit Metro, and a $125,000 gain from improved vendor management for the Outreach Paratransit Program in San Jose, California.

Coach USA, 2000-2000

Interim Maintenance Manager, Sylmar, California. Manage the scheduling and maintenance of the LADOT Commuter Express fleet of 120 buses consisting of diesel, and propane fuel systems. Implemented retrofit program for overheating issues posed by fleet defects.

Laidlaw Transit Services, 1999-2000

Diesel Mechanic and Shift Supervisor, Antelope Valley Transit Authority, California. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of mixed fleet of 85 over-the-road coaches (to include unique double-decker buses imported from Europe), fixed-route transit buses, and paratransit vehicles. Developed quality control program for client’s use in future bus procurements.

US Army, 1991-1998

Motor Sergeant, USA, Europe, Saudi Arabia. Preventative/Corrective Maintenance of 37 mechanics, 480 prime movers in combat/ non-combat environments. Recovery Specialist duties included extraction of disabled vehicles. Facilitated logistical support of ground units in garrison and tactical environments in support of Battalion & Brigade operations.
