1. SUMMARY. John B. Hage is an accomplished musician, director, educator and producer with experience and training in sound systems, multi-media applications and technical support. 3.1. SOUND TECHNICIAN

Recording Producer

• Produced and engineered professional recordings using Pro Tools and Cubase recording software. Responsible for planning sessions, tracking, mixing, mastering, graphic design and distribution.

Sound Technician, 1990-Present (MD, VA, DC)

• Installed, repaired and operated sophisticated electronic and audio visual systems for government facilities, schools, churches, hotels, restaurants, cruise ships and private residences for various sound and video company’s including Lerma Electronics and The Audio Edge.

• Provided technical support to students and staff on computers and various multi-media. Set up, installed programs and maintained computer workstations. Managed network server and restored server malfunctions.

• Set-up repaired and operated sound systems for a wide variety of live performances at various theaters, nightclubs and performing arts venues.

3.2. PERFORMING ARTS

Performing Arts Director, The Banner School (Frederick, MD) 2007-Present

• Designed, installed, operated and maintained sound system for various school related events. Operated stage lighting, sound effects, video projectors, computer programs and multi-media applications for school. Trained staff and students on proper audio-visual operation.

• Directed concert bands, orchestras, ensembles, rock bands and choruses. Prepared groups for concerts, graduations, fundraisers, festivals, competitions and special events. Directed all aspects of school’s performances including selection of material and scheduling, sound, lighting and video documentation.

• Created and organized successful benefit concert events. Coordinated performers, speakers, technicians and organizations. Arranged facility reservations, media coverage and sound and video set-up and operation: The American Cancer Society, Race for the Cure, The Frederick Rescue Mission, The Arc of Frederick County, Frederick Food Bank and Special Olympics.

• Formed John’s Rock Shop, a music school program for students and adults. Created program, designed logo and was responsible for marketing, materials, supervising counselors and directing daily camp activities and performance. • Set up mixer, speakers, microphones, amplifiers and monitors for rehearsal and performance. Produced audio recordings of students with Pro Tools, Cubase and 8-track mobile digital recording systems. Also operated lighting and special effects for performances.
