• Constructed appropriate treaties as needed
• Based on EQECAT’s WORLDCAT Enterprise, Performed the Risk Analysis for each CAT bonds
• Provided Professional Commentary for each tranche of the CAT Bonds
Project: Gulf of Mexico Energy Project
Goal: Perform the hurricane risk analysis for the properties in the Gulf of Mexico area for several energy companies
• Defined assets to be analyzed
• Refined vulnerability functions based on the claims and loss adjuster information from the historical storms
• Performed risk analysis to estimate the loss exceedance probabilities for the asset portfolio
• Provided the results in a report
Project: Barnes’ Algorithm
• Implemented the algorithm and checked its properties using R
• Applied Barnes’ algorithm Interpolated the wind speed of the calculation stations based on record stations in Europe
Project: CAT Bonds for Swiss Re (Successor X Ltd.), AXA Global P&C (Calypso Capital Ltd.) etc.
• Analyzed portfolio transmitted by the clients
• Developed index formula and weights for given constrains using R and related packages
• Performed basis risk analysis for modeled perils
• Structured the tranches for combinations of different perils and layers
• Prepared the risk analysis section of the offering circular for the bonds
Project: Industry Loss Database (ILD)
Goal: Provide exposure data and event loss tables by region and line of business, to enable fast portfolio evaluation and management as a function of market share.
• Designed the database structure and diagrams
• Performed the risk analysis for different perils by region and by line of business
• Prepared and import the data into designed database
• Developed the data dictionary for the database
• Created stored procedure to validate the database
DISSERTATION RESEARCH
Developed a simulation-based Bayesian statistical methodology which is a MCMC using Gibbs sampler to deal with a set of problems arising in method comparison studies. Evaluated agreement in two or more methods; determined samples sizes for planning a study; and conducted multiple comparisons of methods on the basis of agreement.
