Senior Translator: My duties include performing translations for company clients in a variety of subjects. Some translations deal with legal topics, others deal with Human Rights, Refugee Affairs, International Agreements and other similar topics.

Senior Language Instructor: My duties included the development and design of language courses in Modern Standard Arabic; at many levels, including beginner and intermediate, and in the Iraqi dialect as well as teaching these courses to students from different sections of the Defense Department. During these courses, tests are given on a regular basis to determine students’ levels and their progress in the language.
I also served as Course Leader. Duties included managing teaching teams and other instructor issues, in addition to responding to student needs and finding ways to better their mastery of the language and helping them improve their capacities for learning.
The Iraqi course, for which I received an honorary letter of appreciation from the Joint Language Center "in recognition of my superior language skills and instructional abilities as an Iraqi Dialect instructor at the Joint Language Center," is an accredited course, an honor granted by the American Council on Education.

Subject Matter Expert/Lesson Developer: My duties included developing lessons in Arabic for publishing on the Langnet website. These lessons are geared toward improving the proficiency of students skilled in the language and are seeking to improve their proficiency and/or prepare for government standard tests given by the State Department and the Department of Defense.

Arabic language Instructor: Duties included teaching U.S. Diplomats
Modern Standard Arabic in all levels, in addition to teaching Arabic dialects such as the Levantine, Egyptian and Iraqi. My students achieved the highest levels of fluency in speaking Arabic and in reading and translating the Arabic media. While at the institute, I attended extensive lectures on politics, history, economy, geography, society and all other aspects of life and culture in the Middle East.

The Iraq Foundation - Iraq Research and Documentation Project (a Non-Government Organization dedicated to Iraq’s affairs).
Editor/Translator: Duties included editing and proofreading large volumes of translated material to ensure quality, correct grammar and spelling by following the guidelines of the plain language initiative and comparing all translated material with the original Arabic text to ensure content conformity and consistency in both languages. I also studied large volumes of Iraqi government documents from various areas of Iraq. Findings in these documents were published in a number of publications dealing with Iraq issues. In addition, I was in charge of translating these documents for publishing on the web, in an effort to expose the old regime and its oppressive practices and many proven violations of human rights.

Arabic language Instructor: My duties were teaching Middle East Specialists the Arabic language in its highest levels, in order for them to pursue their formal academic study of the language by focusing on Arabic grammar, reading, writing, speaking and listening. Tests were given regularly to track students’ progress and issue their final grades. Certificates in Modern Standard Arabic were issued to course graduates by the institute to be used toward accredited post-graduate programs they can pursue at American or international universities.

English and Arabic Instructor: My duties included teaching English on various levels ranging from beginner to advanced, in addition to helping students make sense of this country's multifaceted culture and people.
