Recipient of Four Year Scholarship (August 2007-May 2011)

• One of fifteen initial scholars selected from the 1300-student Class of 2011 to complete 300 hours of service each academic year in the city of Trenton. Project highlights:

• The Bonner Center, Senior Intern: Assisted Director to capture fall and spring activities while identifying gaps, organized with the Director to establish Annual Community Partner-CEO Dinner/Meeting, provided support and supervision to class based projects, worked closely with students, faculty members and community organizations.

• Salvation Army, Site Leader: Responsible for organizing a group of students to partake in The Job Readiness Program that mentored over 30 patrons, lead incoming freshman (groups up to 30) on their community service learning days that included working in the following issues: hunger, homelessness, housing, education and youth development. Ensured activities were developed, facilitated, and delivered.

• PEI kids, Mentor: Mentored juveniles participating in a mandated court program. Created and facilitated women’s centered lessons.

• Nicaragua, New Orleans and Atlanta Trip Participant: Selected out of 75 Bonner Members to be part of a delegation to Nicaragua with Witness for Peace to examine the country’s economic struggles and history. Participated in a service trip to New Orleans to complete disaster relief work and an Atlanta Enrichment Trip to learn about the Civil Rights movement. Collaborated with TCNJ sorority to bring awareness to the on-campus community about the “Banana Workers” and how the United States affects third world countries.

• Member of the national and collegiate Greek-letter sorority, committing itself to achievement while educating the college population on various social, political, culture and educational issues through programming. Project Highlights:
