(NC) Return contract to Food Lion to be sole provider of effort to get smaller vendors active on EDI via third party and web-form providers. This tightly budgeted four week project provided Food Lion a significant reduction in paper invoices along with the errors and delays associated with the manual process. Activities included working with small vendors and web-form providers to ensure that these small vendors were introduced to EDI in a non-intimidating manner in order to achieve a high success rate.

(NC) Food Lion- Provided EDI support to Grocery chains many vendors through a conversion to new AS2 service. Activities included creating new Websphere Gateway (WPG) partnerships, new AS2 set-ups within WPG and testing vendor’s AS2 connection prior to sign-off to move to production. Also monitored WPG production errors and communicated with vendors to inform them of corrections needed.

(NC)- CARQUEST Auto Parts. After success with the national roll-out for the CARQUEST ASN process, returned under new contract to repeat the process for another CARQUEST division and then afterwards to begin the Electronic Invoice (810) for both divisions. All work was performed in a Websphere Gateway (WPG) environment. Complete responsibility for entire project including all T/P set-ups, creation of test scenarios, scheduling, evaluation, tracking , reporting and approval of test results. Responsibility for all Partner contact in order to provide emphasis on the need for all suppliers to participate and complete all testing in a timely manner.

(NC)-KIDDE US -Major manufacturer of fire Extinguishers, smoke alarms and similar products. Provide EDI expertise mapping and some RPG ILE program modification to allow the merging of a recently purchased business to be included in the KIDDE JDE/EDI Solution. Created external cross-reference tables from JDE files for location information as well as item cross reference to eliminate the need for many user exit programs thus significantly improving performance. Built new location file to allow for driving EDI documents by either the AN8 number (normal) or the SHAN (Ship-to number). Client needed the ability to specify by store location as to whether an EDI Invoice and Ship Notice were to be transmitted. Created two Trading Partnerships that selected which map to used based upon the existence of a particular segment/element. (If found use MAPA if not use MAPB) Responsible for mapping all invoices to new user files using new external references.

(OK) Franklin Electric- Create required User Files and 100+ maps for start-up of Inovis to J.D. Edwards (JDE) interface. Build EDI test environment and provide parallel testing and start-up process.

(AK) Pinnacle Frames- Provide on-site and remote EDI mapping for J.D. Edwards (JDE) installation.

(FL) Stylemark Sunglass Company. Working as a subcontractor for Inovis, provided remote consulting and mapping services to work with SAP to define requirements and build roughly 60 EDI maps to be used in their Inovis TLI and SAP environment. Used both ANSI and EDIFACT versions of mapping due to a number of European suppliers

(GA) Carson-Products (now a L’oreal company) Migrated cosmetic company to Inovis TLI -Trusted Link EV6 in an SAP environment. Installed software and created a full test environment allowing inbound and outbound documents to be processed by both EDI and SAP without impacting production. On going contracts until the merger of Carson EDI and L’oreal EDI During interim period provided outsource mapping and other functions for current and new EDI documents and mapping as needed. Created numerous FTP driver programs to process EDI data making it available to the corporate AS2 location.

(NC) Sara Lee Sportswear (Champion) -Major Sports Apparel- Migrated the company to AS/400 TLI installed multiple EDI software upgrades and created test environment for EDI. Reviewed in-house EDI support system then designed and implemented a approach providing methodologies for migrating Trading Partners to newer standards as well as creating mapping work around for any Trading Partners not able to comply with the Champion requirements or standards within the time constraints. Create driver programs to allow unattended EDI process.

11/88- Sara Lee Intimates

08/96 Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Performed initial review to determine hardware/software requirements to begin doing EDI with major retail customers. Evaluated and purchased Premenos EDI for the AS/400 (Now referred to as Invois Trusted Link Iseries “TLI”). Started as a one person EDI entity and provided software installation, analysis, design and programming of required interfaces to in-house legacy and ERP systems. Demands from major customers dictated that multiple EDI projects move forward simultaneously so additional programmer and EDI coordinator were added to ensure progress continued at the required pace.

As Manager of EDI, continued to develop and expand the involvement of Sara Lee Intimates by rolling out many EDI documents to the customers making up nearly 90 percent of sales volume. During this period of growth expanded and managed the EDI team which had grown to include 5 people. Established Sara Lee Intimates as a leader in Retail EDI and was asked to be a member of the thirteen person ANSI/VICS Standards Maintenance Committee. Also developed on-line catalog and update system to accurately maintain all UPC numbers, product Ids and descriptions making them available to retailers for download a P.O.S.

Duties also included design and create User File Definition, create interface to legacy and ERP systems, create scheduler programming, Trading Partner set-up document mapping, trouble shooting and Client/Customer relations

EDI USER FILE and MAPPING of documents included countless ANSI x/12 and some EDIFACT versions of

810, 820, 832, 846, 850, 852, 855, 856, 860, 865, 867 as well as some work in the 300 series transaction for shipping industries and various financial documents.

Familiarity with most forms of EDI communications including the use of network providers, FTP (direct and via networks), AS2.
