ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Design of Virtual Private Networks Sep 2011 – Dec 2011
Designed, implemented and analyzed the performance of various types of Virtual Private Networks. The solution provided an end-to-end encryption for the traffic that flows across our VPN tunnel, thus making it more secure. Establishing a Virtual Private Network is cost-effective compared to establishing a set of remote desktops.
Simulation Of A Simplified IEEE 802.11a/g OFDM Feb 2011 – April 2011
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing has many advantages and in this project we implement a simplified version of IEEE 802.11a/g and WiMAX using OFDM modulation and demodulation techniques in MATLAB.
Two stage Broadband Amplifier Feb 2011 – April 2011
Designed a two stage broadband RF amplifier to amplify the VHF and UHF signals in television and to reduce the noise figure. Stability Analysis, A.C Analysis, D.C Analysis, Input and Output Impedance, Tran-impedance gain and the +/- 3dB analysis were carried out using AWR MICROWAVE OFFICE and the results were verified using MATLAB.
Integration of RF – PLC Sep 2010 - Dec 2010
Integrated RF channels with a PLC machine was done to improve its productivity and to reduce the work labor. The
RF system was designed and verified using AWR Design by carrying out nominal, yield and worst case analysis of various
Parameters like gain, noise figure and power.
Home Automation Using Embedded Systems with Interactive voice response May 2010- Jul 2010
The microcontroller was used to interconnect the Interactive voice response and the embedded systems to automate the switching of devices on the voice control by the user. All the devices can be controlled simultaneously without any mismatch
between them by the use of an efficient algorithm.
Micro Controller Design for Switched Reluctance Motor Jan 2009 – April 2009 The main objective of the project is to provide a vivid speed control for a Switched Reluctance Motor, and to devise a controller for the same, and to design an efficient algorithm to run in a microcontroller along with an interactive man - machine interface. The testing of the algorithm is checked for its validity using software referred to as Pinnacle 52 Integrated Development Environment. The torque ripples are minimized by monitoring the rotor position sensors.
