Utilized “Lean” principles in color-coding Rotex Screens, insuring that the correct
screens were installed in the proper directions.
Created a Lock-out Tag-out board in the Rotex area to insure everyone working on a Rotex
has a lock available and to verify that everyone is clear before starting the Rotex.

Achievements Replaced a nut and lock washer with a self-locking nut. Result: Saved $12,650 a year.
Sort manufacturing orders to take advantage of economies of scales. Result: Saved
$18,688 a year.
Combine packaging and manufacturing operations to take advantage of machine cycle time.
Result: Saved $13,794 a year.
Out source screw packs operation and set-up a Kan-Ban replenishment system. Result:
Saved $75,000 a year.
