* Architecture designer for computing infrastructure solution. Ultimately responsible for providing technically mature systems within cost and schedule constraints.

* Chaired Risk Management board. Developed “phase in” strategies to mitigate risks associated with COTS technologies that were not yet available, including server and software solutions. In this effort, many of the high performance systems that we required were not yet commercially available within the Size, Weight, and Power (SWAP) constraints of the airborne platform. My contributions included developing plans that provided drop in replacements when the COTS solutions became available. In this role, long term versus short term impact, cost impact and schedule impact had to be recognized and evaluated.

Engineering Change Proposal skills were especially important as the program funding was reduced, the cost impact of each requirement had to be individually evaluated.

* Engineering manager for network operations center and Operations & Maintenance team of more than 20 engineers. Focused on network engineering, security, deployment & integration, and NOC management.

Senior Systems Engineer - Wireless ad-hoc network systems

* Senior Systems Engineer for wireless sensor network solution in a Lead Systems Integrator role . Proximal and stand-off sensors included acoustic, seismic, magnetic, infrared, and image. Program goals included providing an off-the-shelf, end-to-end Track Management solution that can be brought to market by a transition agent. (SETA/LSI for DARPA NEST/Network Embedded Systems Technology, SOCOM)

Negotiated contracts with manufacturers, subcontractors, and customers.
