Responsible for maintenance, storage and utilization of the inventory system in accordance with DaVita Healthcare Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, OSHA, HCFA, AAMI, federal, state and local regulations.

• Establishes and maintains inventory records, logs, files, manual purchase orders and ensures appropriate levels of supplies, medications and equipment are available at all times using the automated inventory system; adjusts processes to accommodate clinic patient growth and item changes.

• Responsible for ordering, receiving and issuing supplies daily; performs daily, weekly and monthly counts of supplies and reissues utilizing the computerized system according to set standards.

• Responsible for stocking treatment areas daily and providing supplies to hospitals and staff.

• Maintains inventory on a first in first out (FIFO) basis and ensures that supplies do not expire before usage.

• Records inventory receipts, issues and transfers on a timely basis.

• Prints and reviews audit trail reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

• Communicates and reviews reports with the Clinical Manager.

• Maintains neatness, cleanliness and safety of stock room per policy and regulations.

• Communicates with management, staff, purchasing agents and vendors regarding supply delivery and notifies Clinical Manager of any unusual incidents.

• May participate in facility QA/CQI process

• Participates in team nursing and promotes team concept throughout all clinic activities; assists other staff in the performance of their duties in accordance with policies and as allowed by state regulations.
