Contract Administrator/Purchasing Agent, GoodLand Construction, Inc, ($15M commercial construction and site development), 2007 to 2009. Responsible for order fulfillment activities, guaranteed on-time delivery and meeting company goals. Managed permits/licenses, estimating projects, change orders, warranties, document control, vendor negotiations and client relations. Worked closely with municipalities. Oversaw $1M+ budget.

Restructured purchasing system. Company was losing profitability, due to increased manufacturing costs. Developed Proforma ordering process, securing original pricing and controlling shipments. Coordinated billing with municipalities, ensuring revenue flow and profitability. Averted $15K potential increase in material costs.

Ensured project deadline. Challenged to complete park project six weeks ahead of normal timeframes to meet dedication schedule. Developed strategy, coordinating subcontractors, materials and labor. Senior Estimator, Metco Landscape, Inc, ($26M landscape construction company), 2005 to 2006. Developed key partnership. Ran risk of losing key contract, when developer’s specifications exceeded their budget by $100K. Initiated meeting with client’s project manager and VP, presenting value-engineering alternatives to reduce budget. Awarded $500K contract and created long-term partnership with developer.

Construction and Operations Manager, Custom Landscapes of Colorado, ($3M landscape construction company), 2004 to 2005. Managed daily operations, $2M budget and staff of 50. Controlled scheduling, procurement of materials, billing, profitability, regulatory compliance, client coordination and negotiations, maintaining positive company image.

Project Superintendant and Estimator, CoCal Landscape Services, Inc, ($15M landscape construction company), 2001 to 2004. Prepared bid proposals for commercial projects totaling $32M. Evaluated budgets and timelines, negotiated with suppliers, collaborated with management and contractors, ensuring projects completed on time and within budgetary parameters.

Construction and Design Coordinator, City of Aurora Parks and Open Space Division, (City Parks and Open Space division), 1999 to 2001. Oversaw $4M commercial contracts and administration for City. Assisted on in-house design and project development.

Reduced project costs. Historically City purchased trees for median improvement projects from contractors. Developed and implemented purchasing strategy, eliminating the middle man. Negotiated with suppliers, securing competitive price and saving City $47K annually.
