Description: The goal of the project was to design and manufacture a high performance golf putter using composites. Its key design features took advantage of the properties of composite materials. I led a team of four members to deliver the project on time and within budget.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Used advanced composite material to fabricate gulf putter

Extensive CAD work (Solidworks) in designing the prototype and finally the model of the putter.

Developed design, architecture and instructions for manufacturing process

Built and modified tooling for the manufacturing process

Design website for project

Selected the appropriate material for fabrication through some research work.

Description: The project sponsored by RTP Company of Winona MN was geared at comparing the mechanical properties of injection molded reinforced plastic parts with predictions from moldflow simulation. Some extensive microscopy work was done so as to compare the fiber orientation in the molded part with the simulations. I led a team of three that performed the research and the outcome saved this company a lot of time in their production process.

Used moldflow software to model material behavior

Employed advanced microscopy technique
