Shipfitter / Stick Welder Experience:

Responsible for the use of various tools and equipment in the fabrication, assemble and erection of metal parts for the construction of modular units utilized in the various stages of the building of a marine vessel.

Possess advanced reading and writing skills along with that of Advanced math; Capable of operating a grinder and passing a M2 tack welding test; Have the ability to read a tape measure (standard and metric); Have experience in the use of a hand torch, hydraulic and ratchet jacks along with chain falls and come-a-longs;

Familiar with hand tools such as combination squares, framing squares, hand levels and plumb bobs used in the marine and construction environments; Capable of utilizing various beveling and burning equipment; Have knowledge of advanced blue prints and flame gouging; Be able to fit flat butt with little or no supervision;

Over 8 years of marine, shipbuilding or construction experience. Knowledge of setting and erecting units; Knowledge of the use of Datum Lines, Line Heating and Flame Straightening Techniques; Familiar with Fit Up and Alignment Tolerances;

Have knowledge of hooking and rigging procedures and the Operation of Aerial Platform and Platen Cranes; Capable of utilizing a Transit Surveying Instrument.; Posses advanced blue print reading skills.

Shipfitter Working conditions:

Ability to work under frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, working in cramped positions, and climbing.

Working in the elements of all weather conditions and exposure to high noise levels wearing hearing protection

Working in high/low debris locations and wearing full/half face respirators and face shields when required.

Power Generator Equipment Technician / Repairer Experience:

Ability to Perform preventive maintenance on diesel power generators to include: fuel system, lubrication system and cooling systems. Perform minor repair and rebuilds on diesel power generators

Diagnose and effectively repair shut down and no start conditions on diesel power generators. Process required paperwork in a timely manner.

Possess a thorough working knowledge of diesel engines. Basic generator operation fundamentals and a solid electrical background, as well as diagnostic capabilities for power generation equipment.

The ability to troubleshoot/diagnose using wiring schematics/diagrams and service manuals. Self motivated, have good organizational skills and able to work with little or no supervision,and always a team player Highly versed in basic maintenance safety, principals, lockout/tagout, and personal protective equipment usage.

Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

Power Generator Tech/Mechanic Working Conditions:

Extreme danger, stress, physical hardships and possible field living conditions associated with this position within a desert camp complex.

Ability to function during an extended assignment at a foreign, in-country facility exposed to seasonal temperature extremes. Ability to cope with shared cafeteria, bath and sleeping quarters.
